Overview
Designed the covers for four fiction books, including The Ice Series (3 books) and Gold Rush (1 book), collaborating with the author to create visually compelling, market-ready covers that captured the story and genre.
My Role & Approach
- Developed concepts and layouts for each book cover
- Edited and retouched author-provided photos, adding custom design elements
- Selected typography, color palettes, and imagery to reflect the tone of each story
- Managed technical requirements, including spine size adjustments and barcode placement
- Delivered polished, print-ready covers while maintaining a cohesive look across the series
Results
- Completed first professional book cover project, learning and applying print design standards
- Created visually engaging covers that reflected the narrative and genre
- Built a collaborative workflow with the author for future projects
